Privacy and GDPR
GDPR is the General Data Protection Regulation, which regulates the privacy of citizens of the European Union. Under GDPR, if you use WelcomePad then you are the controller of the data you collect using the app, and we are the processor of this information.
You are collecting personal information from your visitors and if those visitors are EU citizens, you are required to treat this information in a way that adheres to GDPR requirements. WelcomePad was built using “Privacy by Design” and includes a comprehensive set of tools to help you implement GDPR compliance.
For example, WelcomePad makes it easy to respond to “Right to be Forgotten” requests. You can remove visitor records in response to a request and permanently remove any personal information that was associated with the visit. WelcomePad also supports the “Right of Portability” by making it easy to send a visitor the information you store about them, at their request.
